We believe education is a fundamental human right and not a privilege. We believe literacy is the ability to read the world (not limited reading words). We are living in an exponential time— the socio-economic location, technological progress, climate changes, and many forces that deeply impact human wellbeing are changing at the fastest rate in the history of human civilization. These changes are affecting the marginalized people of the world, and Bangladesh is no different. PAGE works towards democratizing literacy for creating a more equitable and just Bangladesh.
students in a decade
Throughout the developing world, going to school is rarely free. Students are required to pay their own transportation costs, purchase uniforms, textbooks, notebooks and pencils. Children who cannot afford these basic costs cannot attend school. As families struggle to stay above the poverty line, the additional expense of school becomes an unlikely investment.
Democratizing literacy
PAGE aims to facilitate literacy to help the development of compassionate and conscientious individuals.
PAGE started its journey in 2009 in Pabna.
